National Center for Missing and Exploited Children: The Story of the ADAM Program
Safe BeeSide Me recently learned of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's ADAM Program.
It's an automated alert system created by Lexis Nexus Risk Solutions and donated to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), in memory of Adam Walsh for whom the NCMEC was created.
As a new member of the ADAM program, Safe BeeSide - which is based in New Jersey, will be sharing missing child alerts for our area, as well as other locations when they are received.
According to the Lexis Nexis website:
- The program was designed and donated by Lexis Nexis employees
- Employees volunteer to help run and maintain the site
- The ADAM Program has played a role in recovering around 200 at-risk missing children and assisted in the recovery efforts of countless other cases
